“Can we get some anal beads and a butt plug, please?” asked Cali smiling at the cashier as he walked off to get the items.

“We already have a butt plug, why do we need another one? And when was this Cali? Because, you weren’t talking like this before I got locked up,” said Shade. Cali moved over to allow Shade to pay for her items.

“This was two years ago after I started going to therapy again,” Cali explained.

“Therapy? I thought you were past a lot of your issues,” said Shade looking concerned.

“Oh no Shade, everything is cool with me. I just had to go talk with someone, because I began to miss you terribly, and when my daddy had the heart attack, I just felt alone. So I went to talk to someone,” Cali explained.

“Wasn’t Tia and Renee there for you?” asked Shade. Cali gave her a fake smile.

“Renee was there for me as much as she could. You know how I don’t really mesh well with them when you’re not around. However, I did get closer to Renee. She was there for me when I really needed a friend,” Cali explained.

“Girl… he’s not old,” said Cali laughing. “Well, he is old, but I like to call him seasoned.” Shade looked at Cali strangely. “But, he’s not my boo I’ve been talking about.”

“So, is your boo more like a sponsor?” Shade replied.

“I think it’s a little bit more than that, but he has a family and I don’t want to cause any more damage than I’ve already caused,” Cali explained. Shade looked at her friend to see if she could read her expression, but Cali had a somber look on her face letting Shade know that she had some remorse.

“You have guilt written all over your face Cali,” said Shade.

“I don’t feel guilty about what I’m doing. He approached me at a time when both of us were in need. He had lost his best friend, and so did I. We both were confused and didn’t know who to turn too, so we found each other. His girlfriend could care less about how he was feeling. As long as she could go out shopping and spend up his money, his feelings were irrelevant,” Cali explained. She picked up a bullet and put it with Shade’s stuff. “I love this! Anyway, it wasn’t supposed to end up this way. We
